About Me

IMG_1959Greetings! I’m an actress (SAG-AFTRA/AEA) based in New York City.

I love acting because it allows me to bring my insights, imagination, and collaborative spirit to every film, television show, or play I am a part of, and hopefully inspire humanity through story-telling.

I’m currently writing a screenplay for a feature film, which I plan to act in and help produce, and I’m always on the lookout for acting jobs that invite, challenge, inspire, and encourage me to keep growing as an actor.

I’m from a small town in upstate NY. By small, I mean…small. We had a couple of pizza places, 1 movie theatre, and possibly more cows than people. But it was a beautiful place to grow up, and when the mall is an hour’s drive away you learn to find other ways to occupy your time. For me, my activities centered around acting and performing: school musicals, community theatre, and stints as an extra in 2 movies that filmed in my town: a student film directed by Beatrice Alda (Alan Alda’s daughter), and the cult indie Puddle Cruiser.

After college, I got my professional acting career off the ground by working in off-off Broadway and regional theatre, student shorts, and independent films. I then lived in Portland, Oregon for a few years, studying acting as well as classical Chinese medicine. I found that learning about holistic healing, Taoist spirituality, and our connection to the earth only made me a stronger, more centered, and more giving actor.

Let’s see…what else? I love being in nature (I’d love to visit Yellowstone National Park one day), taking long walks, baking vegan sweets, good coffee, playing with my 2 cats, and when I’m disciplined, beginning my day with yoga. (Or beginning it with bagels from my favorite neighborhood place works too!)

Thanks for stopping by, have fun exploring, and drop me a line!
